Η ΔΡΑΣΗ όπως πολύ σωστά λέγεται, ΣΚΟΤΩΝΕΙ ΤΑ ΔΑΚΡΥΑ!
Εμείς πρέπει να πολεμήσουμε τώρα, με όλα τα διαθέσιμα μέσα, αυτούς που επιδίδονται στη συστηματική συκοφαντία των κοινωνικών αγαθών και συνεχίζουν να προπαγανδίζουν ως «σκληρά αλλά αναγκαία» τα αιωνίως «νέα» καταστροφικά μέτρα και τις απολύσεις. Πρέπει να πολεμήσουμε όσους σήμερα ασκούν εξουσία στην εκπαίδευση υπακούοντας στην αντιδημοκρατική «υπερπαιδαγωγική» των Μνημονίων και των αριθμών, διαμορφώνουν «κατ΄εικόνα» τους την εκπαιδευτική πολιτική στον τόπο μας, ενώ επιχειρούν ταυτόχρονα να καταστείλουν τη διαμόρφωση της δημοκρατικής συνείδησης των νέων.
Η Τέχνη στο «άλλο σχολείο» που ονειρευόμαστε με ανοιχτά διάπλατα τα μάτια, ακόμη και μέσα στην καρδιά της καταστροφής, είναι η Κραυγή που Χρωματίζει, η Χρυσαφένια Κλωστή που συνδέει και συμφιλιώνει όλα τα διδακτικά αντικείμενα, σε μια ισορροπία πολύτιμη, που κάνει αποδεκτές όλες τις μορφές της ανθρώπινης ευφυΐας και ταυτόχρονα χωράει όλα τα παιδιά. Το «σχολείο χωρίς σύνορα», θεωρεί το πολιτισμικό φορτίο κάθε παιδιού ανεκτίμητο θησαυρό και σύμμαχό του στον καθημερινό αγώνα και όχι «ανόητη πολυτέλεια» όπως προσπαθούν ιδιοτελείς «καλοθελητές» να κάνουν τον κόσμο να πιστέψει.

Art and Resistance
NOW! \ “Later” means never!
A short film about the economic crisis and the problems it has caused regarding art education in public schools.
Samaras and Venizelos are imposing devastating “reforms” in the field of education. By coincidence (?) they both used the Ministry of Culture as a springboard for their political careers. Of course, as culture “experts”, they do not even consider sending their children to schools that do not effectively educate the offspring of privileged families in culture and the arts.
They are indifferent to the plight of the “children of others” who today are the first victims of the crisis. Thus, these children are trapped in a vicious circle: poverty worsens their relationship with school and this deterioration is a major factor in their dropping out of school. Today’s collapsing schools should become “the children’s shelter”, as requested by UNESCO. However, high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Education give out the following cynical message: “Those who can pay get by, whilst the rest are left to sink or swim.”
Something like that….
Meanwhile, the rest of us, losing contact with our collective musical and visual feeling (a feeling intensified by one’s involvement with art), slowly grow accustomed to a ghastly predicament which under normal circumstances would be intolerable: “les misérables” of our cities, the homeless, young women who are trafficked as sex slaves, children who quit school and become victims of sexual and labour exploitation.

ACTION, as it is rightly said, KILLS TEARS!
We must fight now, with all available means, against those who systematically propagate the myth that the eternally “new” catastrophic measures and lay-offs are “harsh but necessary”. We must resist those who today exert power in education, obeying the undemocratic diktat of the Troika and their counter-productive fiscal approach to education.
Art in the “alternative school” which we dream about with our eyes wide open, even in the midst of disaster, is a cry brimming with colours, a golden thread that connects all teaching subjects in a precious balance that accepts all forms of human intelligence and is inclusive for all children. The “school without borders” considers the creative potential of each child to be a priceless treasure and ally in their daily struggle, and not just a “trivial luxury” as the self-interested and supposedly well-meaning policy makers would have us believe.
